Our reseach is focused on the fields of visualization, computer graphics, computer vision, digital image processing and immersive environments.
Visualization involves techniques for the transformation of data into meaningful, computer-generated images. Example application areas for visualization technology include the analysis of data encountered in computational fluid dynamics, physics, chemistry, molecular biology, medical and satellite imaging, the simulation of complex hydrodynamic processes and structural systems.
Computer graphics involves the development of algorithms that allow the generation of highly realistic computer-generated images of complex three-dimensional objects and phenomena.
Virtual reality and immersive environments are an emerging technology that provides engineers and scientists with a means for the exploration and analysis of massive and complex three-dimensional data. The data is typically rendered stereoscopically, in a virtual interaction space.
